EUR/USD held below the 1.44 level throughout the US session despite tepid economic data and the German government rejecting talk of Merkel stepping down from the Chancellorship. Greek concerns remained at the top of traders minds as many fear that Greek government bonds will soon be unfit for use as collateral at the ECB and that could set off a domino-effect throughout the European banking system.

Central banks were steady buyers in the 1.4350/60 area but a US investment bank managed to trigger stops in the 1.4340s just as the IMM was closing for a long holiday weekend. From 1.4338 lows, prices rebounded 50 pips late in the session.

EUR/GBP was sold again today as the UK offers somewhat of a safe-haven from Greece as standing outside the euro zone and not having a currency named “dollar”. The cross fell as low as 0.8811 at the height of the Greek jitters but rebounded sharply into the London close. Stops above 0.8845/50 were tripped and a jump to 0.8870 was seen before an afternoon slide unfolded to 0.8824. We end at 0.8836.

Cable fell through support at 1.6250 and triggered stops as EUR/GBP rebounded ahead of the London close. It fell as low as 1.6212 but rebounded to end the day at 1.6270.

AUD was pressured by a general bout of risk aversion as stocks and commodities gave ground in the US. It dipped as low as 0.9214 and ends at 0.9235.

USD/JPY was pressured by a fall in US interest rates and unwinding of longs taken by hedge funds early in the New Year. A rally was seen to the 91.15 area after reports surfaced that a DPJ MP was taken into custody regarding the on-going fund-raising scandal. Heavy sales by a US investment bank knocked it as low as 90.68, thereafter. Large stops from hedge funds are rumored now around 90.30.

g@me cheet

So thanks to these problems, that were joined with this, I am a little more clever now.

Because these experiments took me two days together, I will split this article to two parts. Somebody will already know the solution, but these, that don't know it, will be at least looking forward for the next article.
This article will be in the story telling form.

Day first - Monday - Blind tests
Already more than a quarter of year I am still thinking, that I could again start playing some game. As the best candidate came to me the Pokemon Emerald. So I have started it, but I was still solving some problems of people at ICQ and surfing all around the web. I had the game switched on for about 3 hours, from this I was playing nearly 1 hour passively.
As a first pokemon I have choosed Treeck and I was already planning the team and attacks to the future (unfortunately I realised that pokemons I have choosed for catching are placed at the nearly same place, so I am interested how I will train them).
So, I got Grovyl to the level 21, got the first badge and I was slowly decided to go to Dewford Town. But at this time I remembered to my most favourite pokemon and realised, that I would actually got him after the league and yet he would be hardly trained (I have tested). So it occured to me, something I have never done before, that I will try cheats. I jumped to grep and download documents with cheats for Emerald.
Because I have seen it practicaly for the first time, I didn't know what to do with it. So I though there four cheats for Beldum, 2 cheat codes for level 19 and one cheat (I said to myself that if Beldum why not in the full beauty) for shiny. I said, super, I will have Beldumie.
Well, after the first walk through the grass I have spotted him. I was pissed already with this, that I was catching him for half an hour, he really didn't want to me somehow. Finaly I bursted with happiness, that I nearly fall down from the chair, when the pokeball stoped to wiggle. I ran to Poke Center, treated poke. I took off to ship going through the grass and I met again the same Beldum. I realised, I forgot to erase the cheats, because I already had the Beldum. So I left out the battle and deleted the cheat codes. In this time I was already very happy and ready for the game.
But at the next moment I was shocked, when I met right the same Beldum. And after him I met the next Beldum and the next and next. I said to myself, what's that bullshit, to be sure I checked the cheat list, but there was none inside. Well, I will catch him again, so I loaded the save from F2 (at the F1 I always save the main game). On this, that I have loaded, I have yet not used any cheats. I ran through the grass... and I had tears in my eyes already, when there was shiny Beldum again at level 19. And the same in the save F1.
For a while I looked at it. Then I smashed the keyboard in anger, switched off the game and computer and went to relax to TV and breath it up. I think I could had fever in this time also.

My continuation of problems with Pokemon Emerald cheat codes and the catching of Belmud are in the next article.
You can download the Emerald Gameshark cheat codes here.
The tips, hints for VBA link are at my other articles on this page also.

My new iPod - iPod Touch

I bought my Classic iPod 5 years ago! It was the very first generation of iPods! The best mp3 player ever!
Once I actually started to play with it, I fell in love. I think the whole "iPod" part of the name threw me - it's not an iPod (at least not for me), it's the PDA I've been looking for.

First off, I still haven't actually plugged the headphones into it - they're still sealed up in their packaging. My classic iPod is going to be my music player of choice for at least a little while longer. But so far I love everything else this baby can do!

I had no problems syncing with Outlook, so it gave me the perfect opportunity to get my contacts all organized so I could take them with me when I handed back my computer. I'd been wanted to get something that I could use to keep track of friends' and associates' addresses, details, etc, and this is perfect. As I just started to really use Outlook's calendar, having a portable option is brilliant. I can't add new appointments, but apparently the latest firmware update gives me that functionality.

The other really awesome feature is the WiFi. With my iPod Touch, I can connect to any wireless network. Which means I can be strolling around the house watching YouTube, I can quickly Google something, I can even shop at the iTunes store. It's proved really useful a few times already - looking up directions, checking email without turning on the computer and impressing people with the screen quality.Click to enlarge

The resolution is great, and the scrolling is really easy. It's impressed quite a few "technically challenged" relatives. I also really like the way you browse for music.

My main reason for upgrading to iPod touch from my old Classic iPod, was the battery life! While listening to music with screen off, it works for 22 hours!!! watching movie 5 hours!

Obviously, there are a few things I'm not happy about. I've already mentioned not being able to add new appointments to the calendar. There is no built in Farsi (Persian) language support, I cannot view Persian sites with its Safari web browser. I heard that there is a patch for this.

But all in all, I'm really pleased with my iPDA!

Power on a pedestal.

iMac sets the standard for elegance and power. It packs a complete, high-performance computer into its all-in-one design. With an anodized aluminum frame and glass cover, it’s striking to behold. And these materials are highly recyclable, so iMac is friendlier to the environment. The 20- and 24-inch glossy widescreen displays make photos and movies come alive with rich color. For an even better view, you can remove the stand and mount your 24-inch iMac on a wall with the VESA Mount Adapter Kit (sold separately) and see your photos and movies practically float on its big, beautiful screen. And with the stand removed, you save even more space on your desktop.
